For Medical Professionals & Patients
Chronic lymphoedema and venous insufficiency often require ongoing treatment.
You need the very best clinical tools to offer your patients. Our wide range of products provides a complete bilateral torso, groin, genital and abdominal treatments with our unique garments based on the principles of manual lymph drainage.
Your patients need a user-friendly system. Ours are easy to use at home, for maximum patient compliance. Pressure and time are fully adjustable, enabling the physician to prescribe the treatment pressure and treatment time best suited to the patient's condition and daily schedule. Our garments are made of sturdy non-stretch fabric and are easy to put on and remove, for correct compression every time. Our systems can treat two extremities (with or without the torso) simultaneously, which dramatically reduces treatment time for your patients with bilateral lymphoedema or venous insufficiency.
We can fit sizes of patients. Our adaptive garment design and the widest range of standard sizes in the industry mean that we can fit almost everyone, even the most severe cases, right off the shelf, without the need for custom garments.
Lympha Press® is a dynamic compression therapy system. It consists of a pump which supplies air to garments worn over the areas of the body to be treated. The Lympha Press® pump fills air cells within the garments in a special sequence, alternating waves of compression with brief periods of pause and refill. This action massages the affected area with a "milking" motion.
Our systems offer a variety of treatment modes. Check our Product pages to see which mode(s) are available in each model.
Pretherapy: Based on the principles of manual lymph drainage, Pre-therapy starts from the proximal (nearest) area to the body.
Lympha or Sequential: The cells in the garment inflate one by one, starting over the hand or foot. This creates a gentle "milking" pressure wave.
Wave or Peristaltic: Peristaltic compression. Only two cells are inflated at any time, moving in a waveform up the limb to the torso. There is always one cell inflated behind the pressure wave, to maintain the directional massage.
The importance of Gradient: Our calibrated gradient systems enable the setting of pressures individually in three to twelve zones, at the pump. Pressure can be set to create a gradient, according to physician prescription. Our settings also enable reduction of pressure over painful areas. Our systems will not allow creation of a reverse gradient.
