Indications:
  • Primary lymphedema
  • Secondary lymphedema
  • Venous insufficiency
  • Venous stasis ulcers
  • Dysfunction of the muscle pump

Contraindications:

Use of Lympha Press® compression therapy systems is not recommended in the presence of any of the following conditions:

  • Known or suspected deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism
  • During the inflammatory phlebitis process
  • Acute infection of the affected limb
  • Decompensated cardiac failure / congestive heart failure
  • Severe arteriosclerosis or other ischemic vascular disease

Precautions:

Due to movement of fluids in the body when using this system, be careful with patients having heart disease. Using high pressure is not recommended for patients with peripheral occlusion disease.
The abdominal area should ot be treated during pregnancy. If LymphaPod® is to be used during pregnancy, the air cells over the abdomen must be disconnected prior to use.

Medical

  • Lympha Press

  • Lympha Press® Plus is a versatile and advanced compression therapy system.

Designed in consultation with manual lymph drainage therapists, Lympha Press® Plus offers a choice of five treatment modes, including our unique Pre-therapy™ cycle based on the principles of manual lymph drainage.

Lympha Press® Plus gives you the tools needed to treat each patient as an individual.

Any of the treatment modes can be combined in a single session. The pressure in each of the 12 chambers can be set individually according to physician prescription, for gradient compression and to enable adjustment of pressure over a painful lesion or wound bed. Treatment time can be set to any prescribed time, to fit patient condition and compliance. Pause time can be adjusted to accommodate patients with venous insufficiency and venous stasis ulcers. And each individual patient program can be stored, retrieved and operated via PC.

Lympha Press® Plus is easy to use.

A key panel that makes it easy to select treatment programs and parameters; or, it can be programmed via a personal computer. The pump comes preset from the factory with an effective treatment program that you can adapt as needed.

Lympha Press®, can treat two limbs, or the entire lower or upper torso, simultaneously.

All our Lympha Press® systems can treat bilaterally or unilaterally, as prescribed by physician, for shorter treatment time and better compliance.

    Treatment Modes:

Pre-therapy: Designed according to the principles of manual lymph drainage, this mode starts proximally over the torso or top of the extremity, depending on the garment type. When used with the Lympha Jacket or Lympha Pants, Pre-therapy starts at the abdomen and trunk.

Gradient12: This mode applies the highest level of calibrated gradient sequential compression. Pressure for each cell can be set at the pump, for a gradient of pressure from distal to proximal, to further enhance lymph flow towards the major collectors in the torso. Pressure can also be reduced over painful areas or wound beds. For an extra measure of safety, Lympha Press® Plus will not allow the selection of a reverse gradient, which could cause reflux or wrong-way flow.

Lympha: Sequential compression, for treatment of lymphedema, and for treatment of chronic venous insufficiency / venous stasis ulcers. The compression cells in the garment inflate one by one, starting from the most distal (furthest from the body). This creates a gentle "milking" pressure wave.

Wave: Peristaltic compression, for treatment of venous insufficiency and lymphedema with focal discomfort. The Wave inflates only two cells at one time, from distal (furthest away from the body) to proximal. There is always one cell inflated behind the pressure wave, to prevent wrong-way flow.

Ballancer: A rhythmic peristaltic cycle that feels like a relaxing massage. The Ballancer cycle moves more rapidly and is very stimulating for the circulation. Again, there is always one cell inflated behind the leading pressure wave, to prevent reflux.

    High pressure accuracy

The Lympha Press® Plus automatically adjusts itself to limb and sleeve dimensions, for high pressure accuracy. Treatment time, pause time, pressure and speed are all individually adjustable to meet any clinical situation.

The Lympha Press® Plus can treat one or two limbs simultaneously, and can be used with all our garments – individually adjustable, exceptionally durable, with the patented Lympha Press® overlapping cell system, in over 56 standard sizes.

  • Lympha Press Optimal

  • Home lymphedema treatment based on the principles of manual lymph drainage

Lympha Press Optimal® gives patients the benefits of the gentle touch of manual lymph drainage along with Lympha Press® calibrated gradient sequential compression.

Elements of the Optimal® treatment system

    • Pretherapy™, based on the principles of manual lymph drainage. This mode starts by treating the proximal areas first.  Used with our torso garments, Pretherapy™ treats  the abdomen, trunk or torso before starting the distal to proximal  therapy session.  Used with our arm and leg sleeves, Pretherapy™ gives special attention to the top part of the limb.
    • 12-Zone Gradient, calibrated "at the pump." Pressure can be adjusted in each compression chamber individually, or in four groups of three chambers each, for comfortable treatment of painful or fibrotic areas.  The Optimal® has our Lympha Press® quick cycle time.
    • Garments for torso clearance. Use with Lympha Pants, for treatment of the abdomen and genital areas; or with Comfysleeve, for treatment of lymphedema and postmastectomy lymphedema in the shoulder, chest, back, abdomen and axilla areas.
    • Individualized therapy.  The Optimal® offers choice of pressure, gradient,  treatment  mode, and treatment time, to meet a wide variety of clinical situations and patient compliance needs. Pressure and treatment mode can be adjusted to accommodate painful areas, fibrosis, and other considerations.
    • Bilateral treatment.  The Optimal®, like all our Lympha Press® systems, can treat one limb or two, simultaneously.  This saves treatment time and improves patient compliance.
    • Patient lock - Pressure and modes are set and locked, according to physician prescription, making this exceptionally versatile lymphedema treatment system safe and easy to use at home.

Use with all our Lympha Press® garments - easy to wear, easy to clean, all with our overlapping chamber system for treatment without gaps.

  • Comfysleeve

  • Simplifying treatment for postmastectomy lymphedema

Effective therapy for arm, breast and torso lymphedema in the clinic and at home

ComfySleeve™ 1-75 is designed to meet the needs of patients with upper extremity lymphedema.  It treats the entire arm, shoulder, and one side of the back, chest and abdomen.  Its sequential, compressive massage action activates the lymphatics to absorb fluids and proteins, and coaxes fluids around blockages, into healthy areas for uptake.

ComfySleeve™ 1-75 provides gentle, targeted treatment to the axilla (armpit), as this area often requires therapy in patients with breast cancer related lymphedema due to lymph node removal or damage from radiation.

ComfySleeve™ is designed to meet the needs of patients:

    • Our modular, zip-together construction makes it easy to wear and remove.
    • Conforms to the patient's body shape. Targeted underarm compression for axilla drainage.
    • Treats arm, chest, shoulder, back and abdomen.
    • Calibrated gradient compression - fully adjustable to meet special needs, such as fibrosis or sensitive areas.
    • Easy to clean, for good hygiene.

ComfySleeve™ 1-75 has a unique modular construction. It consists of: arm sleeve, torso sleeve, and side fastener. They are zippered together at setup, in sizes  selected to fit the patient. After setup the garment is worn as a single piece, like a jacket. To change size or side, just switch fasteners.

  • Three aesthetic treatment cycles! Great value for price!

Ballancer PantsNewest in the Ballancer family - based on the reliable 303® -the 505® features exclusive Pretherapy treatment cycle. Ballancer 505® Pretherapy treatment is a gentle massaging of Proximal lymphtics, with the purpose of "opening the way" for the transit of lymph liquids during the following cycle of the treatment.
